Feb 2012 Update
1/31/2012 9:35:39 PM

So the first month of 2012 has been and gone and two gigs of the year completed. Deanshanger Conservative Club provided a new challenge, however allowed us to return to a venue that has bags of potential and now just needs the locals to support it. We will be back later in the year.

Woughton was an enjoyable gig again for a venue thatv should be packed week in week out. This venue was once an institution on Sunday lunchtimes with quite possibly the only place in the country where you could have a pint or two while watching a great band play on the famous Pitz stage. We had a good turnout from a fantastic audience that included a number of faces that we hadn't seen for a longtime that had also taken journeys from as far as Hull, Great Yarmouth and Downs Barn!!

So this month we roll onto a new venue for us in The Kings Head in Buckingham on Friday 17th Feb, while returning to The Tawny Owl, Milton Keynes on Saturday 25th Feb. As always we'd love to see you all there.

A Spaced Out Welcome to 2012
1/3/2012 9:05:28 PM

If you are reading this it means you have taken the time to think of Spaced Out in 2012, of which we can only say Thank You and Happy New Year.

Now down to business two gigs including one new venue are scheduled for January. The first is Deanshanger Conservative Club on Saturday 21st January. The band have played here back in 1998 when Simon was a young whipper snapper and Alec and Daiv dribbled at the thought of joining the band!!

Your support would be welcomed especially as its a chance to remind Deanshanger of the Spaced Out Way!!

Finally Sunday 29th Jan sees the return to Woughton for the first time since BOB 2011. The band had been scheduled to play in November and December however due to unforeseen circumstances were rescheduled. Again please feel free to join us along with your mom's, dads, uncles, aunties, wifes, husbands and those unsure - you are all welcome!

December Update
12/7/2011 10:27:13 AM

Following a last minute request to play The Wheatsheaf, Leighton Buzzard the band decided to go into unchartered territory by performing as a three piece due to Dex's Xmas Party. The gig was good fun and a big thanks to The Wheatsheaf for making us welcome after a 6 year absence. With a little luck it won't be 6 years till we're back there again.

Unless you are one of the fortunate invitee's at this weeks Private gig Saturday marked the last date of 2011. With 2012 filling up fast please make sure you are checking our gig guide regularly. First date in 2012 currently is Deanshanger Conservative Club on Saturday 21st January. The last time we played in Deanshanger was 1998 so it would be great to get as many Space Cadets down as possible to remind Deanshanger what they have been missing!

December Gigs
11/28/2011 6:48:44 PM

Spaced Out will be returning to The Wheatsheaf, Leighton Buzzard after a 6 year absence. Unfortunatyely Dex is unable to join the band due to Xmas commitments however you can still expect the usual fun anbd frolics from the band.

Spaced Out will no longer be playing at The Sno-Bar on December 10th. The band will however be performing a Private gig in Bletchley of which I am sure plenty of our Space Caderts may have already been invited. We'll see you there if you have!

Catch the action at Sno-zone, Xscape on Saturday 10th December.

Bend Over Backwards 2011
11/5/2011 8:49:39 AM

Dear All

First indication is that we have raised £1,800 from yesterday's event. Thanks to all involved who have dedicated a lot of time to ensure BOB was the success it was. Special Thanks to:

Liberation, Bedside Manor, Nexus, Big Cheeze, Peartree Bridge Family, Mad Mods, Southside Jimmy, Dave Booth (Promo material) Paul Haslin (Drum supply) Colin Saunders, Charlotte Connell (backdrop), Ben, Bailey and all the money collectors, Lin and The Woughton Staff, Marshalls, Rock Hard Music, and The Prostate Cancer Charity. (and the wives who have had to put up with less attention than usual!)

Extra special thanks to Mike & XS Martyn who despite the odd explicative had to put up with a lot of challenges on top of the 13 hour shift necessary to make the day possible.

As with any charity event it could not happen without the people who turned out to support the day.

Many Thanks

Dex, Jools, Alec, Simon & Daiv
